Small business support platform Enterprise Nation has extended its SME finance hub to include access to support with applying for and claiming R&D Tax Credits and applying for mortgage, protection, pension and investments, in a pioneering one-stop-shop for small business finance.

The new-look hub builds on the existing features offered by Capitalise, the business finance platform, which gives small firms access to their business credit profile for free, the ability to manage to risk profiles of their clients and access affordable business lending, in one place.

The hub is now offering extra funding services through R&D Tax credit specialist Claim Capital; and CMME which specialises in supporting business founders and contractors get access to the most efficient mortgages and protection, pensions and investments, through a network of experienced advisers and their sister company Contractor Wealth.

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, said: “Small business founders are busy people. They are often too busy running the business to shop around for the best financial support or interrogate a range of suppliers. This hub gives them an equal chance to get access to a range of excellent experts in their field, all in one place.”

Max Raynor, Managing Director at Claim Capital said: “The government aims to increase the UK’s research and development expenditure from its current level of 1.7% to 2.4% by 2027. Increasing awareness and improving access for the small business community is going to be key to reach that goal and unlock innovation.  “Our partnership with Enterprise Nation on the Finance hub will help us do that.”

Mike Coshott at CMME said: “Applying for and securing the right mortgage can be very difficult and complex for small business founders and self-employed individuals. Often the finance they are eligible for in the mainstream brokerage system are expensive, penalising them for having a more complex income or not having conventional PAYE employment. This is also true for personal protection and wealth management.

“There are better deals and solutions thankfully.  And this Finance Hub will give small business owners access to very competitive options that work with running a business.”

The SME Finance Hub curates lending options and relevant advice and delivers specifically-targeted insights directly to businesses looking for support, as well as access to a one-stop-shop for SME finance needs.
