Netflix Inc. has something for everyone in February, with the sequel to one of its smash rom-coms launching just in time for Valentine’s Day, along with a highly anticipated comic-book adaptation and the return of three critically acclaimed drama series.
The high school romantic comedy “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” made a huge splash with teens in 2018, and the cast returns Feb. 12 for “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.” The sequel sees Lara Jean’s (Lana Condor) relationship with now-actual boyfriend Peter (Noah Centineo) threatened by a romantic triangle when her old crush, John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher), re-enters the picture.
Netflix NFLX, -2.78% is also rolling out the long-awaited magical horror series “Locke & Key” (Feb. 7), based on the popular comic written by Joe Hill, Stephen King’s son. The violent sci-fi series “Altered Carbon” (Feb. 27) will return for a second season, with Anthony Mackie taking over the main role, and two of Netflix’s biggest foreign-language hits, “Narcos: Mexico” (Feb. 13) and “Babylon Berlin” (Feb. 28) will be back for new seasons.
