Amazon has removed a shirt from a third-party vendor referring to Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris by a derogatory term.

The Oxygen Bandit was selling T-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, and hoodies with a “Joe and the Hoe” slogan in a similar design to Biden’s logo, USA Today reported.

“All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account. We are working to remove these products,” an Amazon spokesperson told USA Today.

The shirts incited backlash online on Tuesday.

“Amazon count your days! You can NOT allow your vendors to disrespect Kamala Harris,” user QC_Bombchelle tweeted. “I’ve NEVER seen this done to any other female candidate!”

“Amazon, take off the tee shirts that say Joe and The Hoe 2020 Vote No,” MaxineDevri tweeted.

Atlanta Judge Penny Brown Reynolds told FOX5 Atlanta that she was staging a boycott and demanding an apology after coming across the shirts online.

“There is a place that you cannot go and misogyny in the marketplace and corporate responsibility is such that we cannot have this. This is bigger than party affiliation and ideology. This is about decency,” Reynolds said.

Harris accepted the vice presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night.

The shirts are part of a smear campaign referring to Harris’ relationship with San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, The Hill reported. The relationship occurred before her 2003 campaign for district attorney of San Francisco.

Amazon previously removed offensive items from its marketplace, including shoes with the description “n— brown” after British lawmaker David Lammy found them online, CNN reported.

“Just buying brown brogues tonight leads to this racist micro aggression. Is it 2020 or 1720? Please ⁦⁦@amazon⁩ take it down,” Lammy tweeted.

An Amazon spokesperson told CNN the product was removed.

Walmart also received backlash after third-party vendors were selling “All Lives Matter” merchandise.

The retail giant was criticized for carrying shirts saying, “Blue Lives Matter,” “Irish Lives Matter,” and “Homeless Lives Matter” online. The company told McClatchy News in a statement in June it would remove all apparel.
